En 2004 Pedro compró otra finca, antes de que nos conocimos. En 2005 nos conocimos. El vendió la otra finca y estaba en este con nosotros. Tenemos una hija juntos la Gloria que nació en Diciembre 2006. Nos despedimos en Agosto 2007. Pedro ya no vive en la finca pero nos ayuda con el internet y nos estamos en comunicación. Ahora vive en Costa Rica y pide que nos vayamos para estar mas cerca, pero yo no voy ni dejo la Gloria que le vaya. Los fotos son de 2004-2007, no hay foto de Pedro de 2008 porque ya no vive en la finca.
In 2004, Peter bought another farm, before we had met. In 2005, we met. He sold the other farm, and he was here with us. We have a daughter together, Gloria, who was born in December, 2006. We said goodbye in August, 2007. Peter does not live in the farm but does help with the website, and we keep in touch. Now he lives in Costa Rica and has asked that we go to live closer to him, but I don't go and don't let Gloria go there. The pictures are from 2004-2007. There are no pictures of Peter from 2008 because he no longer lives at the farm.

Eso es el camino del barrio que va directo a la finca. Pedro viene de Diriamba de comprar un poco de verduras y comida que nos hace falta en la finca. El va muy ligero para llegar a la casa y cocinar. This is the road that takes you from the village of Las Mercedes to the farm. Peter is coming back from buying things in Diriamba: a few vegetables and other food that we were lacking at the farm. He is walking fast to get back to the house and start cooking. |

Pedro va en el camion para la finca. Le encanta hacer ejercisio. Peter is riding in one of the vehicles that goes from Diriamba to the farm. He loves to exercise. |

A Pedro le gusta cultivar la chiltoma. Tambien le encanta regarla y limpiarla y comerla. Peter likes to grow peppers. He likes to irrigate them, weed around them, and eat them. |

A Pedro le gusta trabajar. Aquí se mira trabajando en el pozo que estamos construyendo ahora. Peter likes to work. Here we see him excavating from the well that we are in the process of digging. |

Pedro está construyendo una casa. La casa va a servir para las personas que lleguen, para que allí se queden el tiempo que quieren. El emplea a hombres del barrio pero cuando trata de algo complicado, dice que lo tiene hacer con sus proprias manos. Peter is building the guest house, so the guests who come can stay as long as they want. He employs local people but he says that when the job is something complicated, it's better to do it himself. |

Cuando lleguen amigas a ver a Pedro a visitarlo, le encanta tocar guitarra, y le escuchan, y estamos muy alegres. Les gusta a las muchachas como toca Pedro guitarra y como canta. When local girls come to visit with Peter, he likes to play guitar, and they listen, and we're all happy. The girls like the way Peter plays guitar and sings. |

Pedro tiene herramientas para que el construye varias cosas importantes en la finca. Aquí esta construyendo un marco para el panel solar. Tambien hace mesas, cualquiera cosa el lo hace. Peter has tools to build the things we need at the farm. Here he is building the frame for the solar panel. He also makes tables, and anything else. |

Maybe Peter is thinking, "We can develop clarity in our dreams, but I suspect that in order for those dreams to be realized by us, the dreams must be continuations of already-existing trends in us." |
